Rein in Reckless State Spending

As your next state representative, I will vote against any attempt to raise taxes or expand the state budget.  I will seek to streamline our state bureaucracy, eliminate outdated and dysfunctional state programs, and close offices that have drifted away from the core responsibilities of state government.

I will also work to:

• Implement a two-year budget plan for the State of Michigan.
• Oppose any proposal to increase state taxes, and any state budget proposal that includes a net year-to-year increase in state spending.
• Streamline the state bureaucracy and eliminate state programs and offices that are no longer serving the limited purposes and responsibilities of state government.
• Reform the state budget process to ensure stable and predictable levels of state revenue sharing for local governments and per-pupil funding for local public schools.
